Gorilla Warfare
A multiplayer FPS where everyone plays a gorilla and fights with fruit.

what it is
It started as a week spent refreshing my Photon PUN knowledge and then I kept going. You run around as a gorilla and shoot other gorillas with fruit.
Deathmatch rolls a random set of three weapons each match. Gun game walks everyone up a fixed ladder of weapons, 15 kills to win, and you have to finish with a melee kill. Team deathmatch is the same weapon roll scored by side.
the weapons
- Cavendish: the pistol, a normal banana
- The Split: the shotgun, two bananas taped together
- The Bunch: the automatic rifle
- Big Mike: the sniper, named after the Gros Michel banana
- The Grenada: a launcher with splash damage and enough knockback to rocket jump
- Purple Haze: a grape gatling with a 1.2 second spin-up, slows you down while it's spun
- Red Hot Chili Pepper: a 7 metre flame stream that sets you on fire for 4 seconds, plus an airblast
- Yellow Fang: the melee weapon
Purple Haze and Red Hot Chili Pepper are named after JoJo Stands.

movement and style
You can slide, hop out of a slide and land into another one to keep your speed, ground slam, air brake, ledge hop and swing around on a vine grapple. Kills climb a style meter through five ranks (PEELING, RIPE, GOING BANANAS, FULL SILVERBACK, RAMPAGE) and your score in deathmatch comes from that instead of raw kills.
the maps
The jungle has a creek ravine, a temple up on a mesa and thick jungle everywhere. The zoo has a plaza, avenues and enclosures. The glacier is the newest.

crates and skins
Matches pay out tokens, tokens open crates, and crates give you weapon finishes. There are 30 of them and you manage them in a CS-style inventory.

where it's at
Friends have started playing it, and their last round of asks is what's next: a one-shot musket called La Baguette, capture the flag, terrain the Grenada can dig craters in, wearables and more music. A lot of the models and sounds are still placeholders. Steam is the goal after that.
